Our architecture bypasses the slow HTTP request-response loops of standard text-to-speech APIs. Instead, we open a persistent, bi-directional WebSocket connection between the caller's telephone carrier and our voice servers.

When the user speaks, their analog voice is captured, digitized, and streamed in raw audio chunks to a Speech-to-Text (STT) model. We use optimized, low-latency STT engines that transcribe the audio in real time. The resulting text is piped directly to our Large Language Model (LLM) routing engine. The LLM is pre-trained with specific context boundaries, allowing it to formulate a text response within 200 milliseconds. This text is then streamed chunk-by-chunk to the ElevenLabs synthesis engine, which generates natural-sounding speech segments. Because the entire pipeline operates on a streaming framework, the caller receives the audio response in under 700 milliseconds, creating a fluid, natural conversation.

2. Architecting n8n Integration Flows for Lead Capture

A voice agent is only as good as the operational database it connects to. If a voice call occurs but the resulting scheduling notes, contact info, and patient pre-screen responses are not saved to your CRM, the automation has failed.

We construct our data pipeline using n8n, an enterprise-grade integration framework. n8n allows us to build visual, node-based workflows that connect multiple APIs. Our standard lead routing flow follows a structured path:

  • Webhook Capture Node: Listening 24/7 for inbound payloads. The moment a prospect submits their contact info, the payload is captured.

  • Calendar Validation Node: Queries your booking calendars (such as Google Calendar or Cal.com) to verify open appointment slots.
  • Retell Trigger Node: Initiates the outbound callback call, passing the lead details and calendar slots to the voice agent.

This modular architecture ensures that if one platform experiences downtime, the other services continue to function, preserving your lead data and preventing loss of revenue.

3. Multi-lingual Optimization for Regional Indian Markets
